  1. I think if the leader of U.S. likes Napoleon that will help our country.
First, Napoleon lead the French Army to against the force of Austria and the Kingdom of Sardinia in the hardest time of France. He got talent on Military, so that he won series of remarkable victories. If that kind of guys lead us in our hardest time, the whole country was in aggression, that would be a good symbol of changing our country in a good way.
Second, Napoleon ruled France in a well-organized.He kept the change in the French Revolution, set up an efficient method of tax collection, took steps to end corruption and in efficiency, changed the religion, established the relationship between church and state. The work all he done was his comprehensive system of laws, known as the Napoleonic Code. That must be great change to our country if we got this kind of leader.

Would a leader like Napoleon help or hurt the U.S. if he ruled this country?

A leader like Napoleon would hurt the U.S because he was a very ungrateful leader. Napoleon believed that he was an absolute ruler over the French. Napoleon was a very skillful ruler with cannons and always used against his will in war. Napoleon basically wanted to preserve the French Revolution the people wanting a governor, in which they were so desperate to having. Napolean wanted the people to suffer with lack of liberty.

Napoleon wanted the power to himself. He didn't want France to have their own constitution, so he forbid it of the French having it. He also opposed against the Declaration of the Rights of Man. Napoleon also kept conquering other lands. When tried to conquer Egypt, they were well prepared. He fought a great battle there but he lost. Napoleon believed that he was righteous ruler. and not like any other ruler, he actually fought in battles, in which he saw himself as a true king.

  3. Napolean Bonaparte was a short man who made a big difference in European history. If he were to run this country, I think he would do more harm then good. Some of the good deeds he did was bringing an end to to France’s post revolution and he founded the French Banking System and rebuilts France. Bonaparte also commited some other actions which made Europe furious.
He made himself emporer of France which upset many people. He was born as a commoner and then became the ruler of a country. Napolean had his relatives help him rule other parts of Europe which would cause chaos in other countries. He also invaded almost every country in Europe. All of these attacks cost many of lives and money. When everyone was done will Bonapartes deeds, the English sent him off the an island called St. Helena and after living there for 7 years Napolean died.

  4. "Would a leader like Napoleon help or hurt the U.S. if he ruled this country?" well i think he would be a good leader because he was the man who had saved the french revolution he won and beat the strongest ennemies (E.G. italy wars, 1797), so france was in 1802 in peace for the 1st time for 10 yrs (peace of Amiens, but UK broke it, not napoleon). then he was a leader in europe.
settled the political problems of the republic : his power was strong enough to stabilize the republic but overall he would be good in wars, but it depends on what the sitituion is... but he can have both cons and pros anybody would. a guy like nopolean can be a succesful leader and have us in peace and good roads etc

  5. A leader like Napoleon would hurt the U.S. if he ruled this country because America is a free country, and becoming a ruler of it wouldn't be possible, or work out as well as it did in France. When Napoleon took over France, he made it seem like the Revolution was for nothing as he abused it to gain more power.
America was made to be free of England's absolute power, and they earned it in the American Revolution. If Napoleon took over, it would be the same situation between France. His ways were the opposite of freedom, and he craved for power rather than the praise of the people. So, if he became president, he could raise up to become a dictator like he did with France and abuse his power, creating problems for the government and the others. Furthermore, since Napoleon also wanted to control other large countries, he would also disrupt the peace between America and others- causing tensions and hate over each other. America being a superpower as well, would cause economy disruptions and supply deterioration because America relies on trade a lot, and making enemies with the others would mean less trade. So if Napoleon or a person like him ever had the chance to take power, it would be best for the government to say "no" immediately.

  6. Could you imagine what the United States would be like if someone like Napoleon ruled it? It is true that Napoleon could help the United in many ways. However, I believe that he would ruin the United States. Even though Napoleon made it appear as though he supported the French Revolution, his actions supported an absolute monarchy. He would make this country one as well, and many people would be upset.

Since we won our independence from the British during the American Revolution, we have always been a democracy. If someone like Napoleon came and took all our freedom and rights away, probably most of the American population would be unhappy. Napoleon ruled like a madman, taking over whatever countries he saw. He used way too many resources doing so, and that would not be beneficial to America if he ruled. All in all, Napoleon as ruler would ruin America.

  7. In my opinion, I think a leader like Napoleon would hurt the U.S. if he ruled this country. The reason for this is because he did somethings that is not accepted in our current society. For example, he denied the French people's equality that they waged the Revolution for. Another big issue with the way Napoleon ruled was that he treated women differently. He thought they weren't as intelligent as men; the French Revolution granted right to women like married women's property rights, the right to divorce, widow's pensions, etc, but now these were gone under his rule. This wouldn't be acceptable since the fight for women equality in past U.S. history.

Although Napoleon brought his country up from it's most tormented status, he was a military hero, and dominated most of the European continent, he did things that would be thought of as unacceptable during the Revolution. Even if he did stabilize the franc in Europe and helped France's economic problems, I still don't think that having a leader like him would help. In our society now, we live in a democracy where the people have the right to vote and where there is equality among all people. These are the reasons why I think a leader like Napoleon would hurt the U.S. if he ruled this country.

  8. If Napoleon ruled our country it would hurt the U.S. Napoleon is from the french revolution and he was a dictator. He was a military commander. Napoleon fought many wars. He won many wars and lost many wars.
Napoleon will hurt the U.S. in many ways. Napoleon is a dictator and the U.S. is a republic. If Napoleon ruled the U.S. then the U.S. will no longer be an republic. Napoleon will be able to do anything he wants such as kill anyone or take anything. Since Napoleon like to take over land, he will be putting everyone in the U.S. in danger. Other country will start to watch the U.S. carefully and World War 3 might happen.

  9. I believe that a leader like Napoleon would really hurt the U.S if he ruled it. Because people in the U.s are already use too living in a democracy and a leader like napoleon i think will turn things and he will become a absolute ruler. Which many people probably wont like and there will lead to many problems like a rebellion. A leader like Napoleon will also probably try to take over other countries which will just cause wars and chaos. Not only in the U.S but in the world too.
A leader like Napoleon will take power to their head and try to rule the world like he tried to in Europe. He will do anything in his power to get what he wants and many people will not like that. This is why i think that a leader like Napoleon will hurt the U,S

  10. (P1) Napoleon was a military leader and dictator of France. He has done many good deeds for the country after the revolution. Napoleon had saved his country from bankruptcy, created school, and won many battles. Not only did he provided good his country but, made peace with other European countries and Great Britain as well. Though he may seem like an excellent leader, due to the situations France was having at the time it had encouraged him to act that way. If he were to rule the United States, things wouldn’t seem all so great. Napoleon’s standards are different from what we in the United States are use to. He makes his final decision on his own, as to us who are a democracy and decide together. Instead of trying to keep the country safe and under control, Napoleon himself might hurt it even more.
(P2) When Napoleon was the leader in France, he let his power get to his head. He began not to care much about the people of his country. The economy was ruined again and people had to supplies or food. Napoleon was also obsessive over war. He was constantly away at some war not worrying about the fact that the has a whole country of people who are starving and relying on him to do something about it. While he was at war, he lost around 580,000 men, 3 million soldiers died, and stole millions of dollars worth of weaponry for his army. Here in the states, we are trying to end war and stay out of it. Many citizens had died due to the actions of their leader. If Napoleon was to rule, he would put our country in continuous danger.

  11. A leader lie napoleon would help and hurt the U.S. I will argue both points of views. First off why it would hurt the U.S. because people in the U.S. are used to there freedoms. And a leader like napoleon would try to disrupt those freedoms. Also napoleon is labeled as a “dictator”. Once Americans hear that they will immediately revolt against him. No doubt about it.

Now to the reasons why a person likes him would be good for the U.S. First of all he got France’s economy stable if that person can do the same here that would be great. Secondly he created a better education for the people of France. This would also be another great help as the U.S. is on the low end of the rankings of educational success among the world. Although our military is one of the best in the world it also wouldn’t hurt to have a mind like napoleons when taking military actions.

  12. In my personal options, if leader like Napoleon rules our Nation it will hurt our nation, because napoleon is a dictator, he is holding the rights of the individual, and maintains military powers over us, to control us like a puppet, and be on top of the law people have created and do what they wants to do, and a leader like napoleon is always hungry for land so he'll use his military to store land from another nation and like Louis 16th he'll raise up the taxes and so.
But on the other hand I think the leader like napoleon could also help our nation by join other nations together with the U.s to form a huge nation where everyone speaks the same language, and where their are less wars and because the nations are combined people could provide support to each other, and because of people have provide support to each other, and speaks the same language, it's easier for people to share their ideas to each other so the world would be more advanced.

  13. Someone like Napoleon would hurt the United States if he ruled this country. The reason is because Napoleon acted as a dictator and that could never work for America. America is a country where people believe that their way is the only way. Napoleon wouldn’t grasp the diversity of America and would push people past the limit. People would start riots and fight back completely and everything would be chaotic. People in America barely listen to a democratic government, let alone, an absolute monarchy.
Napoleon in a way betrayed his own people because he was just a regular soldier who didn’t come from royal blood and then became a leader. He could’ve been someone who people looked up to. He could’ve been someone who made a inspiring mark in history. Instead now he’s thought as power hungry monster. He hurt Europe in more ways that one and if he ruled America, history would repeat itself.

If a leader like Napoleon ruled U.S., he would harm this country. America was born with liberty, and a leader like Napoleon definitely would not give any liberty to the citizens, because he is too over powered and over controlled. Even though he was influenced by the Enlightenment, but after he becomes the Emperor of France, he conquered other European countries like Spain, Portuguese, and Russia.
After Napoleon ruled France, he tried to increase his power. In his mind, everything is possible to him. Because of his powerful army and large kingdom area, there are in total of six Coalitions formed by other European countries like Austria, Prussia, Russia, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Sweden, and Spain were formed to against Napoleon and his power. After Napoleon failed attacking Russia, he lost his power and King Louis XVIII took back the control of France. America will never face any situation like France because the American Revolution had already change America. Napoleon's way of ruling can not help America to stay its liberty.

  16. I believe that a leader like Napoleon would actually help the U.S despite many negative beliefs on him. Of course, I still think it's a controversial topic, however he HAS helped France in a certain way. The majority of the French wanted some form of representation in the government, basic rights, a better economy, loss of privileges for the clergy and aristocracy, as well as domestic peace. So to the majority of the French who had taken part in the revolution, Napoleon was believed as some sort of 'hero'
However, the revolutionaries that came later such as Robespierre and the other radicals would have believed that Napoleon would have hurt their country. These radicals wanted the reign of terror, they wanted any one spoke out against them were executed. But, Napoleon on the other hand kept the rights gained, and he allowed the aristocracy but only on the agreement that their former privileges and property were given away. The monarchy in France had placed the 'pendulum' far to the right, and the radical revolutionaries had swung it far to the left. I believe that Napoleon moved it to the center.

  17. A leader like Napoleon could actually help our country, with the current crisis we face. America is in the middle of one of the biggest fiascoes and meltdowns in it's history, with a government shutdown. Many things that may be considered amenities, and unimportant, while still drawing in money and tourism for our country, are currently shutdown. We are not adequately defended against incoming threats to America. It is very possible that we could have a secret attack against us set into motion, and we would not be able to predict it.

Therefore, if we were to have a singular governmental figure, somebody like Napoleon, it could actually benefit our country greatly right now. If he was able to step in, and instantly put to rest any and all of the nonsense going on in our Congress, we would be able to return to our daily lives. We would not have to live in fear. Our economy would not suffer any long lasting effects. We would be adequately prepared against militaristic attacks, and terroristic threats. In essence, maybe what we require right now is a dictator like Napoleon. At least he kept the country more or less together, unified, and safe.

  18. Napoleon was a leader of France that gave a lot of power to France.
He defeated Austria and made peace which gave France power in Europe.
Napoleon gained so much new territory by defeating other countries.
However, Napoleons greed led to his defeat when he invaded Russia in 1812.
It resulted in a horrible retreat and later was put in prison and died.

A leader like Napoleon would not be beneficial to the U.s.
Although he might give the U.S. a lot of power but it would cause many wars.
Napoleon was greedy and that can also lead to horrible things for the U.s.
I think the way the U.s. is right now is the best.
We don't need a leader like Napoleon.

  19. Napoleon was a great dictator in the fact that he can make people follow his rules. But he was not a great leader. He would not be a great leader for the U.S. He would have definitely hurt this country rather than help it. He believed in war and revolution and gaining more power. His people don't mean anything to him, just followers that help him become more powerful. If he ruled this country, this country would've been at war with many countries. People would lose money, homes, food, and most importantly, their loved ones. Some may believe that he was a great leader because he had great military experience so he knew how to fight and win a war. But I believe that it's not always about war and more power, because when you're gaining power in that type of way, you're losing something or someone.

  20. I believe that if Napoleon Bonaparte
were still alive today and ruled
America, we would be in chaos.
Because not only do we have different
values than France, we don't go
    around conquering other countries
like he did in the 1800's. Also, the U.S.
doesn't take being ruled by dictators
    well. Whenever Congress or the
    President makes decisions overruling
what the public is in favor of, we tend
to "revolt". One example of our "revolt"
is Occupy Wall Street. Even though it
    wasn't bloody like most revolutions
tend to be, it still shows our obvious
    dislike for being controlled. Napoleon
    took pleasure in controlling France
although he did seem to consider
    some of France's opinions.

On the other hand, he did some good
things too, like he called himself a son
of the Revolution, so he wrote the
Napoleonic Code on the basis of the
    ideas of the Revolution. Therefore,
while he was building France's empire
    throughout Europe, he was also
    spreading Revolutionary ideas in the
    Napoleonic Code. So probably the
United States might have much more
than fifty states by now, and they
would all be governed by these same
    Revolutionary laws, regulations and
    reforms. However, he probably would
be impeached for appointing so many
of his relatives to political positions.

  21. If Napoleon was the ruler of the U.S.A, I would fear the future. His warlike personality and blood thirst drive drove France into a worse state that was unimaginable. If he was the ruler of the most powerful nation in history of man, I believe he would abuse the power and force our country into a military state.
There would constant war and as a prediction, WW3 would occur and unite the nations threatened, oppressed and insulted by Napoleon and strike us. Of course we would have allies but it wouldn't be much. Also if you think, most of the population would come from a different country, for example, if a random citizen was from China, and Napoleon waged war on China, racism, discrimination, and protests would occur within the Chinese communities in our nation. I think anyone who has ideas like Napoleon or Napoleon himself should never obtain any political power - R J
