The absurd amount of taxes the peasants had to pay caused them to become discontent, during the French Revolution. “This poor woman quoted that her husband had but a morsel of land, one cow, and a poor little horse, yet they had a franchar (42lb.) of wheat, and three chickens, to pay as a quit-rent to one Seigneur [noble]; and four franchar of oats, one chicken and 1 sou [small unit of money] to pay to another, besides very heavy tailles [taxes on the land and its produce] and other taxes.”.(Document 3) The woman who had seven children, could not support their lives because they had to pay taxes for their land , rent and nobles. The high taxes took away all their resources and in 1789 the failure of crops and poor harvest caused the food prices to rise, known as inflation became an economic injustice.
In inequality of France, the National Assembly wrote a new constitution called “The Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen,” to redefine the relationship between the individuals and government from the inspirement of the Enlightenmenters. In article 1 of the constitution it states that, “Men are born and remain free and equal in rights. Social distinctions may be based only on considerations of the common good. . . .” They were inspired from John Locke, the idea that all men have natural right, freedom and equal rights. In article 11 of the declaration, it quoted that “The free communication of ideas and of opinions is one of the most precious rights of man. Any citizen may therefore speak, write and publish freely, except what is tantamount [equivalent] to the abuse of this liberty in the cases determined by Law. . . .” This states that people have the freedom of speech, writing and publishing.(Document 5) Enlightener such as Voltaire promoted freedom of speech that criticized the French government and Catholic Church for their failure of freedom and religious tolerance. The Constitution had put an end to the Old Regime, causing them to abolish the 1st and 2nd Estate and limiting the monarchs power. It allowed them to gain freedom and equality.
The French Revolution had changed France and other nations around the world, trying to gain freedom and equality.” They recalled the Revolution’s abolition of serfdom, slavery, inherited privilege, and judicial torture; its experiments with democracy; and its opening of opportunities to those who, for reasons of social status or religion, had been traditionally excluded.” (Document 6) After the Revolution, it resulted that people had natural rights, formation of democracy and opening up new opportunities that were excluded. France Revolution had made people like “Karl Marx who would, at least at the outset, pattern his notion of a proletarian revolution on the French Revolution of 1789. And 200 years later Chinese students, who weeks before had fought their government in Tiananmen Square, confirmed the contemporary relevance of the French Revolution when they led the revolutionary bicentennial parade in Paris on July 14, 1989. . . .” The French Revolution became a model to other nations such as China, a student who fought for their government and inspire people like Karl Marx. The revolution is a major prominent for their future guideline in overthrowing the government. This all came to an end in 1815 at a meeting, Congress of Vienna among European leaders to create peace and order after Napoleon. It resulted from a balance of power and temporary peace.
Nevertheless, the French Revolution was on the major war in our history that was inspired from the Enlightenmenter that affected many people and nations around the world. It was a massive inequality, however France overturned their problem. They created the “Declaration Of The Rights Of Man And Of The Citizens,” that gave them rights and limited the monarchy powers. Over all this significant event, will be carry on to the modern world and it will be served as a model to the peoples and nations.

  2. The French revolution had a huge impact on the country. There was some affects that changed or had an impact. Some of these affects required changes in social, political, and economic. It created a lot of affects on people and other countries outside France.
The main political impact of the French revolution was the rise of 2 new political ideas Nationalism and Socialism.
Nationalism rose during the French revolution because the demands of these leaders of the revolution were framed as being demands that where in the interests of the people demands that were in the interests of the "nation". So nationalism is like republicanism. Although the French revolution wasn't really replicated across the world the idea of nationalism did spread and after the French revolution you had the creation of a number of new modern republics or constitutional monarchies, the German states were united. The peasants got land, Serfdom was abolished across Europe. Feudal barriers to trade were removed. The Napoleonic code was implemented across Europe. Feudalism was made by Napoleons grande army across Europe. Germany unites and reforms its way to a modern state so as to avoid a revolution like Frances the Italian states were united. Economy was impacted because there was free trade.
The effect this had on the people in France were that there were several stages of the Revolution, but generally during the 2nd revolution and Great terror, the commoners were terrified due to the 80,000 kills and some revolted after their priests was out. France became more bad after attempts to became ruled by the bloody and authorized mountain which brought heavy centralized control to France and brought many concepes to the French army.
The impactes it had on the countries outside of France was that other people wanted change. It inspired other similar revolutions throughout the world where people felt bad by dictatorship. For example, it influenced the Wars of Independence in Greece and South America.
The French revolution had negative and positive affects to the people and other thing such as political economy and social even on the outside of France Everyone wants change but in order to make the changes you have to go threw obsticles especially if the king dosent want witch make a war whitch might lead a a revalution.
