  1. The industrial revolution invention that had the greatest impact in our lives is the light bulb which was created by Thomas Edison. Without the light bulb, we would be in darkness and we had to be careful to use candles because we might cause a fire in the house or buildings. The light bulb made it easier for us to get light without getting it the hard way. It impacted me personally because I use light to do my homework, look for things in my room and it makes me concentrate more.

There were many cases with candles that caused many accidents in people's homes. I always see it in the news and it upsets me. I am glad the light bulb was created so people will use less candles. Light bulbs can have its cons. Whenever there is a storm, electricity turns off and there will be no light at all. So there is a chance that you can use candles.

  2. In the 1876, Alexander Graham Bell invented the electrical speech machine. He is called the “father of the telephone”. His idea was the first to be patented just after his 29th birthday. Bell always had an interest to teach deaf people so that gave him the idea to create this machine. He first demonstrated his creation on June 25, 1876. He showed the sound of the human voice can be reproduced. This amazed people all over the world. Today, we take this for granted.
This invention is very important to history because it was the basis for much more advanced technology such as a cell phone which most of us now use every day. Before, it would take a long time for messages to be delivered. People would have to write letters to each other which would have to be carried out by horses. Even ships would have to go back and forth to deliver news. Telephones gave people the change to efficiently communicate all over the world. This invention affected the whole world and it is hard to imagine what life would be like today without the telephone.

  3. The airplane changed people's lives by making it possible to get where they needed to go quicker and without a vehicle. Airplanes fare can sometimes be cheaper than the cost of driving if you are lucky enough to get a good price on your airline ticket. It also moves our mail very quickly across country so that we have it in several days instead of weeks or months.
They not only provide a major source of fast and efficient travel, they also are a main staple in defense for just about any country. Not to mention they are the 18 wheelers of the sky moving goods and products over night to any where they need to go.

  4. The telegraph made by Samuel B. Morse Telegraph in 1836 was important because the telegraph changed worldwide communications and was a primary mode of transferring important information. The telegraph was a groundbreaking invention because it greatly increased the speed at which messages could be sent. Before the telegraph, long distance messages could only travel as fast as the horse or ship that carried them. Messages could take weeks to travel across the country or to Europe.
Telegraphs enabled messages to travel farther and faster than ever before. Newspaper reporters used the telegraph to send their stories to newspaper offices. During the Civil War, armies used the telegraph to send military messages between units. Telegraphs helped many nations of the world to communicate. The telegraph also brought about new services that had not been used before.

  5. I think that the invention of a telephone had the greatest impact of out life. Even though at first the telephone obviously wasn't as advanced as telephones from today, it was still able to get you in contact with a person. Thanks to that great invention, people were able to improve it, drastically, into what we have today. The telephone has such a major role in literally everything, there is no way this invention doesn't impact our lives.
Thanks to Alexander Graham Bell and his invention of the telephone, we are able to get in contact with people through out the world in seconds. This is nice if you have friends or family across the globe, or even within your own city, but it is essential for businesses. Without being able to call people, some of the biggest companies that we rely on everyday, might not be in existence. It would really be a big set back with out telephones, and without them our century may not be as advanced.

  6. I believe the telephone had the greatest impact on our lives. Made by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876, it started to change everyone's lives from there to now. Communication was always difficult in the past because we had insufficient technology supporting us that time. However, during the start of the Industrial Revolution, England began to inspire new ideas and inventions- one being the telephone.

Although it hardly did much in it's early stages, Graham eventually developed it into a pay phone. To continue the legacy, people tried finding ways for the telephone to be more efficient. As it did, the phone slowly became what our phones are today- cellphones. Today, almost everyone uses a cell phone for communication, socializing, etc., and is practically a main object of our lives. Without the telephone, things in life would have been much different.

  7. With the inventions of industrial revolution; according to my opinion, I think that the first airplane invented by Wright brothers in 1903 was the greatest impact in our life. Here're two reasons for it.
First, the airplane gave us a lot of convenience. Nowadays, we could use airplane get to further places in less time than other transportation, before that, it was definitely a thing that couldn't imagine.Second, the airplane gave different combat style in war, for example: In world war I, military started to use airplane for scouting, and gave fire support. Also, it laid foundation of establishing aircraft carrier in the futures.
In conclusion, that's why I think airplane is the greatest invention in Industrial Revolution.

Which one do you think had the greatest impact on our lives?

Henry Ford Model T Ford, Large-Scale Moving Assembly Line
    1908, 1913
I think that this is the most beneficial to impact on our lives today. The model T is the first car and this started a new way to travel. No longer will people have to travel by train, bus or steamboat. This is one of the best inventions of today millions of people have cars today the car runs the world. the car is a fast and easy way to travel.
The other major achievement that impacts our lives today is the large scale assembly line in which it is allows us to produce large amounts of products in a fast time period. Due to this achievement we can support more people with the products they want and need.

  9. In my opinion, the telegraph, which was invented in 1836 by Samuel F.B. Morse, has made the greatest impact on our lives. The creation of the telegraph brought new inventions and the use of technology which we use everyday in our daily lives. The telegraph was a machine used to transmit messages at a distance. I believe that the telegraph influenced and impacted us the most because it was and still is used to communication in order to exchange messages and important information. Communication is the main and very significant topic for everyone. It spread new, creative, diverse and traditional/cultural ideas throughout the world. The telegraph found ways to receive news and information at a large distance , from other countries, states, etc, without having to travel so often. People were able to be warned about current events by simply using the telegraph. It was a new and advanced way , as well as beneficial , for people to communicate instead of having to write a letter that would take almost days or even months in the past history. In conclusion, the telegraph has impacted our lives significantly and tremendously.

I think the greatest impact on our lives during the industrial revolution was the fact that we were able to conduct metallurgy. Metallurgy is the process of removing a metal from it's ore. When construction machines we started to discover petroleum, which was a major impact. The discovery really changed the world forever because it was mostly used to power vehicles during the roaring 20's to today. Petroleum was a massive production, and was used rapidly everywhere with, cars, boats and planes.

Also, another major discovery was iron. Iron is made up of domains that can produce magnetism. If the domains are in a straight orderly fashioned line, they will connect one to the other. Iron was mostly made by black smiths who wanted iron for making weaponry. Not only did black smiths make weaponry, but they also made tools such as hammers and pick axes. This production helped benefit the way people use these tools throughout their daily lives.

  11. The invention I think that had the most impact on our lives was the airplane. It was created by Orville and Wilbur Wright in 1903 and it is a really important part of our world today. It was never originally intended to fly great distances over seas, but overtime it was improved, so now it is able to travel anywhere in the world.

The airplane was one of man’s greatest achievement yet. It was able to fly and was faster than a car. Eventually the evolution of the plane started to take place by being able to go faster, go at higher altitudes, and became the fastest source of transportation in the world. It also led to the creation of smaller planes such as jets and cargo planes.

  12. During the Industrial Revolution, many things were invented. From the first reliable steam engine to the first airplane. In my opinion, the invention that had the greatest impact on our lives was the invention of the Model T Ford and the large scale moving assembly line.

The reason why I think the Model T Ford and the large scale moving assembly line had the greatest impact on our lives is because of how much this invention has grown now. The Model T Ford was regarded as the most affordable automobile and opened travel to the average middle-class American. The invention of the Model T was very influential because it help lead the invention of other automobile.

The large scale assembly line was also a great influence and it's also still used today. The invention of the assembly line allowed products to be made more quickly and it is very efficient. Now, you don't have to have one single person making the product because now you have a line of guys working on one part of the product so it can be mass produced.

  13. During the industrial revolution, many inventions were created in which we still use today. One of them includes the invention of the telephone. The telephone started out as a simple idea. However, Alexander Graham Bell made it happen. The telephone enables people all around the world to share ideas, beliefs, news, and thoughts efficiently.
The telephone drastically reduced the amount of time it took to communicate with each other. Before the invention of the telephone, if you wanted to communicate over any distance, it had to be by letter. Letters often took days weeks or even months to get to their destination. A telephone call is instant. If the telephone had been invented before many important events over the course of history, (i.e wars), our world would be different today. The invention of the telephone has gradually impacted the world in many ways.

  14. Many inventions were created during the Industrial Revolution. I believe Thomas Edison's invention of the Phonograph, First Long-Lasting Incandescent Light Bulb was the greatest impact on our lives. I believe this because after this one light bulb that was invented during 1877-1879, electricity was slowly taken to a whole new level. If it wasn't for this one invention of a light bulb, our lives today wouldn't be the way it is now at all.
I also believe that the invention of Diesel Engine by Rudolf Diesel was a very big impact on our lives today. With out this invention people would have no way of traveling today. Mostly everybody especially New Yorkers depend on their car for everything. With out their car, there would be no transportation including bus service, trains, etc. There is no way to even picture our lives today with out those two great inventions.

  15. The telephone invented by Alexander Graham Bell was one of the most significant inventions made. I think that it had the greatest impact on our lives because it made traveling of messages and communication exceedingly easier. Before the invention of the telephone, mail was the main source of communication. Other than that if you wanted to talk to someone you would have to go to their houses. Telephones have become more and more popular over the years and very advanced.

Telephones have become dominant in communication for the human race. People all over the world use it for education, entertainment, business and emergency purposes. “The inventions of the telephone lead to development of city centers, office buildings and the concept of an urban worker society.” It has also lead to the development of the internet. The telephone has also helped with the safety of people meaning it became easier for people to contact the police and catch criminals. The invention of the telephone by Alexander Bell has helped make the world as modern as it is today.

  16. Many inventions created during the industrial revolution are used in modern day times. Although all of them are useful, I think the most important one would be the large scale moving assembly line. The moving assembly line was something that henry ford created. All of the workers would stand in a long line and the product would move with the line. This method was more effective because it made the production easier.

The reason I think that the moving assembly line is the most important creation because we use it all the time today. Everyone is doing one thing as the product moves. This makes the creation of the product quicker. More products can be made and available to sell.As you can see, the moving assembly line is a widely used creation from the industrial revolution that it used in modern times.

  17. (P1) The invention that had the greatest impact on our lives would be the first airplane by Orville and Wilbur Wright. Today, airplanes allow us to travel to another destination that would have taken days or weeks in a matter of hours. On December 17, 1903, the Wright Brothers created the first successful airplane. The plane carried a man and rose on its own power, flying naturally, and at even speed. Before the actual airplane, the brothers experimented and formed inventions such as kites, hot air, balloons, airships, and gliders. It took nine months for the first flight to happen. The plane flew 10 feet high, traveled 120 feet, and landed 12 seconds after takeoff.
(P2) The airplane provides us with an efficient way of transportation. Before airplanes, people would have had to drive or sail to their destination. This would have taken weeks or months, as to now where we can travel across the world in hours. Airplanes are not just useful in transporting people but, shipping goods from here and there. We have mail and packages that travel on an airplane to it’s destination as well. With the help of the Wright Brothers, traveling and transporting is faster and safer.

  18. One of the biggest inventions from the Industrial Revolution that help have a major impact on our lives was the Telephone, which was created by Alexander Graham Bell, because due to the fact that we can now communicate with others across the world with family and friends so that we can now spread the news on what’s going on in our world daily and for those important moments in out lives and changed the way how we communicate today.

Overall, there were many inventions from the industrial revolution that helped changed our lives in many ways, but the Telephone is the most important out of all due to the fact that now that we can talk to our family and friends from any where around the world and now since we can spread the important news across the world and changing the way how we can communicate forever.

  19. The greatest impact on our lives out of the industrial revolution was the first airplane, invented by the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur Wright. I say this because before airplanes were invented, the method of transportation was the ships and boats. Ships and boats weren't very reliable, considering that during that time period, the wood that made up the ship weren't sturdy. Many people died due to the storms that hurt the boats. Airplanes are a faster and easier way of transportation, even till this day.
Another reason why the creation of an airplane has had such an impact on us is when we use it during wars. Since the airplane was created in 1903, it was able to be used during world war one and world war two. The airplanes were used the drops bombs and deliver soldiers to their destination. It tremendously helped America during both the wars. If it wasn't for the airplanes, many more people would have died. War airplanes are even used during wars now and it has made a difference.

  20. A industrial revolution invention that i think had the greatest impact on our lives is the telephone. With the telephone we are able to communicate with relatives, friends, family etc. around the world. We are able to do this without having to go anywhere just straight from your house. With the telephone people are able to pass on important messages faster then sending a letter. And the telephone also made sending messages cheaper than sending a telegraph or sending a letter. Now almost all the people in the world use cellphones which came from the idea of a telephone. It also allows people to call the police if they are in trouble or if someone else is in trouble. The telephone has also helped businesses in expanding their field. The telephone has impacted the whole world in a positive way.

  21. The steam engine had the greatest impact in our lives. Without the steam engine no one would have thought about cars, trains, or anyway to transport faster. The steam engine started everything. The steam engine was a big deal during the Industrial revolution. The steam engine helps operate the machine. Transportation has expanded because of the steam engine. Trains were build, cars were invented. Even today steam engine is being used to help run the nuclear power plant. Although it is good there is also a bad part about steam engine. Steam engine let out a lot of gas into the atmosphere and it is causing air pollution.

  22. I believe the invention of the Model-T by Henry ford probably made one of the biggest impacts on our lives today. First off the Model-T revolutionized transportation. It was the first auto mobile to be widely available. Without the model-t how would we travel as fast as we do today. The model also makes a very big economic difference with out it oil wouldn’t be such a valuable business. It also created a new breed of business. I don’t think you can watch a TV show today without seeing a car commercial.

The model –T also produced a new breed of production. The assembly line was introduced and mass production was brought to a new level. It took only about an hour and a half to assemble the Model-T. The car cost about $250 in the 1920s. besides for that the model-T created a plenty of jobs as well as new technologies that were probably the foundation to cars built today. It was defiantly a turning point in the industry of transportation as we know it today.

I think that the greatest impact in our lives are telephones, because it can help us communicate with people so we can let someone now where we are. Instead of writing a letter you can just call someone. Also can help during an emergency. Telephones are also a good impact in our lives because if you need to meet up with somebody you can let them know if your going to run late or instead they'll think you won't come.

Telephones are also a good impact because they can help us stay close to friends and family. You don't have to write a letter and get a response two weeks later. You can call to see how their doing. Also they can help us know when a special occasions will happen like a birthday, etc.

  24. Although all these inventions that were made are very critical to the use of society now, I believe that the telephone had made the biggest impact on life then and now. The use of the telephone was not only to communicate with friends and family, but it was and still is a great invention to help people with numerous of things. The telephone could provide fast communication between people, whether it was a call for help, or just for plans. It made life easier for people and helped people to be safer, because this helped call the police and ambulence in case of any emergencies. Decisions were made faster through phone. For example, in the earlier centuries, if a ruler wanted to speak to another ruler from another country, he would send people to travel for days or even months to recieve an an answer. Times were difficult and much more slower without the phone. With the telephone you can make a call and communicate faster. Ideas were also spread faster this way.

  25. Cars, ships, trains, airplanes, have a great impact on our society and our everyday life, by providing us with faster way of getting places to places, provided us with better way of traveling and because it's easier for us to traveling from place to place we have become all connected and ideas where shared and cities where formed.
and it is all because the creation of the steam engine during the industrial revolution, with out the creation of the steam engine we would not have cars or trains or airplanes, without these transportations we could not travel from place to place as quick as we can now, and take more time to process the information to the community; most of the industry in US is relied on trains to transfer material they need to the factories, with out trains transfer materials to place to place can take more time and it can easily be dilate, by bad weather and delivering material could be far more dangerous than transferring it with trains.

  26. I feel like the one Invention that was invented from the past that had the greatest impact on the people of present day would probably be the Sewing Machine. This is because it allowed the production of clothes to be generated at a faster rate. It allowed the workers to be able to work separately and more orderly than before. Not only that, it created many different varieties of clothes that were then sold out to the public which created creativity and pay for the workers. The sewing machines had allowed ideas to be passed around for new designs of clothes as well as the fabric used to create them, which were then processed and used to make the clothes with the machine.

This machine is still used today in our present time although it may be more improved and more efficient. But we still use it which had been brought from the past and we never stopped using it since it was first invented in 1844 by the inventor, with the name of Elias Howe. I’ve chosen this as an influential invention being the fact that everyone wears clothes everyday that had been created using a machines that processed and manufactured these clothes of history.

I think the greatest invention is the telephone, invented by Alexander Graham Bell. Unlike the telegraph with complicated signals and codes, all you need to call someone with a telephone is his telephone number. This invention simplified the method of telegraph but improved the function of telegraph. The invention of telephone did replaced the invention of telegraph.
In these days now, cell phone, or a mobile phone is more useful than a telephone with a wire connected to the wall in your house. Everyone that I know has at least one cell phone. With a cell phone, you don't have to mail someone a letter or wait for your mail for a week, you can text them or call them with your phone in a minute. Telephones made people's life much easier than before. And it is the greatest invention ever.

  28. The industrial revolution had many ideas and new inventions. Many people like Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison made inventions that have a huge impact on the way we live today. There was the airplane which made communication and trade easier, there was a sewing machine to produce clothing, and there was also the first model of a car. However, I think the invention that had the most impact on our lives was the telephone.
The telephone was an invention designed by Alexander Graham Bell. The telephone invented in 1876 made it a whole lot easier for people to communicate. Back then people had to send messengers to communicate or go by ship. I think the telephone had the most impact on our lives because now the telephone is very advanced. People in the 21st century all have smartphones and everyone communicates by using cell phone which is just an advanced model of the telephone.

  29. The first *reliable* steam engine, developed by James Watt, is the most important invention of the Industrial Revolution. It allowed, for the first time in history, people to move items and services in what would've normally taken weeks or longer, in days, or possibly even hours. Trips across the Atlantic or Pacific ocean were being done in record breaking times! It was the domino that had to fall to set off the chain reaction that'd come to be known as the Industrial Revolution.

It directly lead to things such as Britain's textile boom, which created enormous economic profit and wealth for Britain. It also lead to many other great advances, such as the telegraph, which allowed messages to be delivered more easily than by courier, or bird. It also allowed people to begin developing things such as the telephone, cars, and even aeroplanes! However, with as many pros as the invention of the steam engine came with, there was one tremendous con: Warfare began to modernize. It would have started with the invention of a musket with interchangeable parts, by Eli Whitney. Then, Smith and Wesson invented the first self-contained bullet. Eventually, the full scale of this invention would come to be seen in the advent of World War I, the first global war, involving many of the wars major Powers. but, that is a story for another time. -K.B.
